We’re celebrating one of our best years ever: 2016.  It was chock-full of client service, speaking engagements, sponsorships and the professional development and advancement of our staff.

February 4: Jim Brockardt continued his series of presentations to the attorney-students in the LL.M. Program in Estate Planning at the University of Miami School of Law. What to Look for in a Business Valuation Report is a user-friendly primer on the art and science of business appraisal.

March 24: We presented A Tale of Two Audits to the Kansas City Estate Planning Society. The presentation described the assistance we provided to our attorney and CPA clients involved in defending transfer tax audits of two different closely held, middle-market operating companies.

April 21–22: BCG Valuations was an exhibitor/sponsor of the Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium. The firm was represented by Greg Coats and Jim Brockardt.

April 22–24: Continuing our ongoing relationship with The American College of Estate and Trust Counsel (ACTEC), we were a sponsor of the 2016 Southern Regional meeting in Birmingham. Doug Knapp and Jim Brockardt were BCG’s on-site representatives.

November 4: Doug Knapp and Murph Lavergne were BCG’s representatives at the ACTEC sponsored Florida Fellows Institute in Fort Lauderdale. The Institute was created by Florida Fellows of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel to develop the profession’s future leaders through a series of in-depth educational presentations led by subject matter experts in each field.

November 15: Jim Brockardt made a CLE/CPE presentation to the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council.

December 16: BCG Valuations celebrated this very full and gratifying year at the Blue Bottle Café in Hopewell, New Jersey, and announced the promotions of Greg Coats and Matthew McCranor to Senior Valuation Analyst. Kudos to both of these rising stars.
