“The best part of working at BCG Valuations is that each new engagement presents an opportunity to learn more about a company and the industry in which it operates. On top of this excellent learning experience, I’m able to help our clients achieve their goals.”

Greg Coats is a Senior Valuation Analyst responsible for the financial research and analysis of both publicly traded companies and the industries in which they function. He is also responsible for reviewing and adjusting, for valuation purposes, the financial statements of BCG Valuations clients. Greg has been involved in due diligence management interviews, as well as preparing narrative valuation reports. Greg is pursuing a professional designation with the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute. He has passed all three levels of the CFA Program and may be awarded the charter upon completion of the required work experience.

Greg graduated Rider University, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in finance and business economics, as well as receiving a certificate in investment analysis.  As an undergraduate, his course work included investment analysis and portfolio management, fixed income securities and alternative investments, derivative securities, intermediate micro- and macroeconomics, intermediate financial accounting, and advanced calculus.  Greg was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

Greg was a member of Rider’s team for the CFA Institute Research Challenge, which was named a finalist for the Philadelphia region.  This challenge involved teams from different schools researching the same publicly traded company, including interviewing management and working with both academic and professional advisors in order to prepare a recommendation.  This recommendation included a written report and, for region finalists, a presentation in front of judges.  In addition, Greg was part of an economic research project involving a multi-state comparative analysis of doctors’ acceptance of Medicaid.  The findings of this project were presented to a panel of state Medicaid officials.

In his personal time Greg enjoys reading and playing racquetball.
