Tom Kulik began his career in public accounting and, as often happens, was asked by a client company to become its controller. He became so intrigued with the underlying business of the firm – business valuation – that he asked to try his hand as an appraiser.  Twenty five years later, Tom is still at it.  For most of his career, Tom was a Senior Valuation Analyst with MPI, a national valuation firm, where he worked closely with Jim Brockardt.

Although his industry specializations include building products manufacturers, real estate holding companies and private investment partnerships, Tom is regularly engaged in valuing closely held securities of companies and partnerships in many industries for a variety of purposes, including estate and gift tax, income tax, ESOPs, corporate planning and restructuring, sale, merger, stock purchase plans and buy-sell agreements.  In support of the foregoing, he has prepared documented valuation analyses for presentation to management, directors and stockholders of client companies, as well as to attorneys, accountants and fiduciaries.  In addition, Tom has defended his values before the IRS.

Tom earned a BS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  A certified public accountant, accredited in business valuation, Tom has also been an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) since 1996.
