Our Team

Matthew R. McCranor became a Partner in BCG in 2017, and was subsequently promoted to Vice President in 2020.  In his current professional capacity, Mr. McCranor conducts due diligence interviews, prepares valuation reports, oversees the work of associates and plays a key quality assurance role in the firm.

His valuation analyses and reports are performed in the contexts of fairness opinions, mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, tax planning and ESOPs.  He has been responsible for numerous valuation reports subject to the scrutiny of clients, attorneys, accountants and government agencies.  Mr. McCranor has also assisted counsel in providing valuation and other services in support of civil litigation.

His clients range from traditional newspaper publishers to pre-revenue tech startups and include all manners of companies in between, including general contractors, beverage manufacturers, beer distributors, supermarkets, security alarm services providers, drug development companies and defense contractors.

Mr. McCranor has earned the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation in business valuation issued by the American Society of Appraisers.  Currently, he is a board member of the Princeton Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers.

Mr. McCranor holds a BS in Business Administration, with a finance major, from Ramapo College of New Jersey, where he was also a collegiate athlete in the sport of soccer.
