Matthew McCranor is a Senior Valuation Analyst responsible for the financial research and analysis of both publicly traded companies and the industries in which they function. He is also responsible for reviewing and adjusting, for valuation purposes, the financial statements of BCG Valuations clients. His valuation analyses and reports are performed in the contexts of fairness opinions, mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, tax planning and ESOPs.  Mr. McCranor has assisted counsel in providing valuation and other services in support of civil litigation.

Before joining BCG Valuations, Matt worked in South Florida for Hertz Local Edition as a Management Trainee. His responsibilities included customer service, sales, and operations. Matt was also an Intern at the Hertz Corporation’s global headquarters during his senior year of college where he was responsible for auditing the company’s foreign and domestic annual bonus compensation plans. He worked closely with senior internal auditors and human resources to reconcile the plans, and provided insight and recommendations based on his analyses and assessments of the data at each step of the auditing process.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a finance major, from Ramapo College of New Jersey. As an undergraduate, his course work included financial markets and institutions, business law, financial and economic forecasting, securities and investments, micro- and macroeconomics, corporate finance, management statistics, financial and managerial accounting, and international finance. Matt was also a varsity soccer player in college.

Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching the local sports teams and reading, and has a particular interest in history and science.
