Alexander T. Pinho became a Partner in the firm in 2017 and in 2020 was promoted to Vice President.  Mr. Pinho is involved in all aspects of a valuation assignment, including conducting the initial due diligence interview with the owners/executives of the closely held businesses, employing the appropriate valuation model, and substantiating his findings within a narrative report.  His work has been performed in the contexts of income, estate and gift tax planning and filing, S Corporation elections, mergers and acquisitions, ESOPs, and general corporate planning.  Mr. Pinho has experience in the valuation of privately held companies across various industries, with a specialization in healthcare.  Mr. Pinho has been involved in unique valuation assignments including the determination of value attributable to a brand name, to distribution rights, and to personal goodwill of a physician.  Mr. Pinho has also valued undivided interests in real and personal property.

In pursuit of a professional designation with the American Society of Appraisers, Mr. Pinho has successfully completed the four business valuation courses (BV 201, BV 202, BV 203 and BV 204) towards ASA accreditation.

Before joining BCG Valuations, Mr. Pinho worked as a temporary employee at Bloomberg L.P., as a private equity analyst.

Mr. Pinho is a summa cum laude graduate of Rider University, having earned a BS in business administration, with a major in finance.  From 2008-2011, Mr. Pinho was an Andrew J. Rider Scholar, an honor awarded to the top 1% of the student body.
