Alex Pinho began his career with BCG Valuations as a Valuation Technician in September 2012 and was promoted to Valuation Analyst in May 2013. As a Valuation Analyst, Alex works directly with the owners of closely held businesses and is involved in the valuation of their securities and the preparation of narrative reports. Alex has experience in the valuation of privately held companies across various industries and specializes in the valuation of healthcare companies.

Before joining BCG Valuations, Alex worked as a temporary employee at Bloomberg L.P., as a private equity analyst.  His responsibilities included using the Bloomberg terminal and researching SEC filings pertaining to acquisitions and beneficial ownership in private equity funds.

During the summer of 2011, Alex interned at UBS and worked closely with the branch manager and financial advisors.

Alex is a summa cum laude graduate of Rider University, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, with a major in finance.  As an undergraduate, his course work included investments, international finance, financial markets and institutions, personal finance, financial and managerial accounting, financial modeling, and micro- and macroeconomics.  Alex was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society and, from 2008-2011, was an Andrew J. Rider Scholar, an honor awarded to the top 1% of the student body.  He was also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.

In his spare time, Mr. Pinho volunteers at a local nonprofit Portuguese Heritage Association, where he currently services as Treasurer.
